Based on Harley Street in London, London Vision Clinic is one of the UK's leading clinics for laser eye surgery with prices starting from £2,450 per eye
History Of London Vision Clinic
Founded in 2002, the London Vision Clinic is a prestigious eye hospital located on Harley Street, London.
The clinic specialises in providing treatment to patients who have complex prescriptions, offering specific treatments that have been tailored to that individual’s requirements. The hospital is also renowned for being a leader in offering meticulous and regular eye testing, with patients sometimes undergoing screening up to three times a year. Treatments include standard types of laser eye surgery, along with a bespoke procedure created by the hospital in conjunction with revered LASIK Surgeon Professor Dan Reinstein (The ReLEx SMILE procedure).
Technology & Treatments At London Vision Clinic
When it comes to laser eye technology, the clinic is at the forefront of innovation, and as such there are a number of exclusive machines and devices only available at the London Vision Clinic.
These include the Carl Zeiss Meditec MEL 90 Excimer laser, the Carl Zeiss Meditec WASCA High-resolution Wavefront Aberrometer, the Carl Zeiss Meditec VisuMax Femtosecond laser, and the Artemis™ Ultrasound Scanner - the only device in the world capable of fully mapping continuous surfaces found inside the cornea. There is constant R+D taking place at the clinic, and this along with technological innovation enables them to provide a personal level of treatment to a wider range of patients. For example, some clinics may refuse treatment to patients with prescriptions over a certain level, opting instead to offer a treatment such as refractive lens exchange. The London Vision Clinic has developed a special laser that can provide this type of treatment to patients who may otherwise never be able to have it. The ReLEx SMILE procedure has been co-invented by Professor Dan Reinstein of the London Vision Clinic. Dubbed “keyhole” laser surgery, this procedure does not require a flap to be made at all, meaning even those with thin corneas, dry eyes and high prescriptions can avail of laser eye treatment.
Standard LASIK, LASEK and PRK procedures are also available, as are more advanced treatments such as Laser Blended Vision, a procedure that can correct both near-sightedness and far-sightedness.
Cost & Finance Options
Looking for “cheap” or cut-price laser eye treatment options is a false economy, as you run the risk of placing your eye health in the hands of someone unqualified or inexperienced.
When it comes to correcting your vision, you want only the very best, and so prices at the London Vision Clinic reflect the quality of the technology available as well as the high levels of patient care individuals receive. This means that costs of thorough, frequent screening are included in the price, as is the cost of having the most innovative technology available, operated at the hands of the most experienced surgeons.
In order to make treatment more accessible to people, the clinic offers 0% APR financing. Standard treatment costs £4,900, which amounts to £184 per month when patients spread the cost. For high profile treatments – for those who require more tests and screening – the cost is £6,500, or £271 per month. Financing terms and conditions apply.
